The Forum of the Portuguese Society of Cardiology (SPC) 2023 was held on February 10, 2023 under the theme Climate Change, Pollution and Cardiovascular Disease.

The first session was dedicated to the “Global impact of climate change” in which the researcher Pedro Matos Soares from the Dom Luiz Institute, partner of the National Roadmap for Adaptation 2100 (RNA2100), project which is being coordinated by the Portuguese Environment Agency, I.P. (APA), made a presentation on the theme “What climate will we have in the future”, in which some of the results of the National Roadmap for Adaptation project were exposed in terms of climate projections for 2041-2070 and 2071-2100, namely the predicted increase of the heat waves.
